Renaissance 25 Exhibition
This carefully-curated exhibition curator Zoë Goetzmann features artists that have been chosen from Cosimo’s online art residency programme. Per Cosimo’s mission to make the art world as accessible as possible, the exhibition offers emerging collectors and art enthusiasts the ability to collect unique, one-of-a-kind artworks for their art homes.
The exhibition will open with a Private View on 10th January where guests will have the opportunity to see the exhibition, meet with the artists as well as with Cosimo Art and art’otel teams in the artistic heart of Hoxton and Shoreditch. The public will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition from 10th January- 2nd February.
Throughout the duration of the show, Cosimo Art will host a series of public talks & workshops alongside curator-led tours to allow visitors to engage with “Renaissance 25: Cosimo Art x art’otel London Hoxton exhibition.” The public talks will feature a panel on 18th January of top-tier art world professionals (curators, artists, podcasters, media and tech professionals) eager to share their perspectives on the current art world landscape.
About Cosimo Art
Inspired by one of the most influential figures in the history of Art, the art patron Cosimo de’ Medici, Cosimo Art is a UK-based art marketplace and UK community which empowers emerging (and working) artists to showcase and sell their artwork directly to their collectors and “art lovers.” The catch: Artists retain 100% commission from artwork sales.
Cosimo Art has been featured by ITV, the Mail on Sunday and on the crowd-funding platform Republic (formerly Seedrs). Recently, founder and CEO John Sewell was a finalist at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards in the Creative Entrepreneur of the Year category. Cosimo Art has been the recipient of the Digital Innovation in Art Award (2022), The Art and GP Bullhound (2023) and Deutsche Bank Awards for Creative Entrepreneurs (2023).
The platform has exhibited in pop-up exhibitions and tech fairs across the United Kingdom and in London (“Something’s Brewing 3.0”). In 2022, they launched the first-ever Cosimo Art Emerging Art Prize (receiving +200 UK and international artist submissions) moderated by a top-tier art panel.
Cosimo Art’s online art residency programme (operated by Dean Melbourne, @the_art_advisor, Head of Artist Development atCosimo Art) seeks to provide emerging artists with the necessary creative and entrepreneurial skills to develop their careers.
About Artist Workspace Gallery
Launched in 2021, the Artist Workspace Gallery (AWS) is a woman-led online, virtual and pop-up gallery initiative based in London focused on Fine Art, Contemporary Art and Digital Art. With a combined 10 years experience working in the art world, it is through the mutually-curated eyes of both Director and Founder Zoë Goetzmann as well as through its AWS network that they strive to find emerging promising talent creating and operating in London and in the U.K. The gallery has curated exhibitions throughout London in Soho, Fitzrovia, Crystal Palace and Stoke Newington. Through AWS, the gallery strives to take a lower commission [due to its online status] so that artists retain the ‘lion-share’ portion of their profits.
AWS has been featured by Made in Bed – Sotheby’s and STRAND Magazine. They have also curated a digital NFT collection with the carbon-neutral platform Voice. Follow us on Instagram: @theartistworkspacegallery.
